Brad De Young

Training Coordinator - Sheet Metal Workers' Local 104

I joined Local 104 in 1995. Upon completing the apprenticeship. I spent my career running several multi-million dollar projects, which gave me the opportunity to work directly with engineers, architects, design teams, owner’s reps, and the other skilled trades.

As a general foreman and project manager I dealt with all facets of the trade, including detailing and coordinating projects, plans and specs, equipment submittals, change orders, RFIs, project schedules, and General Contractor responsibilities.  I became the Training Coordinator in 2020. I am currently a certified OSHA, Bias and Belonging, and NABTU instructor. I am registered SCO with department of Veteran Affairs handling the GI Bill processing for Veteran Apprentices. What prompted me to leave a successful career on the contracting side and join the training side was a desire to try and help others develop the skill set to have a successful career.
